Melbourne City Centre, Australia Parliament of Victoria Full time

Public Accounts and Audit Analyst Department of the Legislative Assembly Public Accounts & Estimates Committee
About the role
Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Public Accounts and Audit, you will assist in fulfilling the Committee's statutory functions in relation to the Victorian Auditor-General's Office (VAGO) and the Parliamentary Budget Office, including follow up of VAGO audits and own motion inquiries.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in undertaking audits or complex investigations, inquiries or reviews.
About you
You will be adept at identifying, analysing and synthesising complex issues, and conflicting evidence and data. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength, as is your capacity to be flexible and respond well to change. You will be tertiary qualified and a good working knowledge of Australian and Victorian auditing practices and standards and relevant legislative frameworks. The preparation of succinct, high quality written analysis on complex issues in tight timeframes for a non-technical audience will be a strength.
Why join us?
We offer flexible work, come to the iconic heritage listed Parliament House building or our adjacent modern offices and collaborate with the team one day, work from home the next.
Your health and wellbeing are integral to your success. We have a range of benefits to ensure your physical and mental health are supported, including an annual health and wellbeing calendar with initiatives including flu vaccinations, skin and health checks and optical and eyewear subsidies. Discounted health insurance and discounted memberships at over 240 gyms, pools and fitness facilities across Victoria are also available.
The nature and scope of flexible options available will depend on the nature of the position. You are encouraged to discuss flexible arrangements with the hiring manager during the recruitment process.
Your professional development is important to us, that's why we have a dedicated learning and development framework, along with leadership development programs and targeted in-house training.
When you excel at your work and initiate innovative solutions or go above and beyond to demonstrate our values, you will be recognised for your efforts through our reward and recognition program.
