**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting to the Manager, Health and Safety Systems and Design, the purpose of the role is the provide health and safety industry specialist expertise to the organisation and input to the health and safety management governance and systems ensuring they are fit for purpose and continuously improved to enable the business to achieve a high performing safety culture.

The role is responsible for monitoring and ensuring Urban Utilities compliance to health and safety and other legislative requirements and support the health and safety management systems to ensure our people have the relevant and required tools, training, and information to undertake their work in a safe manner.

**ABOUT YOU**

We are seeking responsive and flexible safety professionals who are passionate about shaping our safety commitment for the future. Whether you are developing technical safety documents or writing procedures, you will consult and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and contractors, managing small projects and influencing change. Ideally, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences with relevant practical experience in an applied WHS industry role.
- Tertiary degree in Workplace Health and Safety
- AS4801 or ISO45001 Lead Auditor
- Formal Lead Investigation Training (e.g. ICAM or TapRoot)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in safety management system development
- QA and technical writing experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Proven best practice experience within a highly regulated, high-risk industry
