Ideally located on the northern fringe of Sydney and just an hour's drive from Newcastle, the Central Coast offers one of the best places in Australia to live and work.

Central Coast Council is the third largest water utility (or water and sewage service) in NSW servicing 139,000 homes and businesses in a growing region.
You will be responsible for leading a team of systems operations and field employees in projects and daily service provision to the Central Coast community and their water and sewer needs. This will be done through the Water Operations service support Centre, and through preventative maintenance programs for Water and Sewer’s infrastructure and function. This role will lead the management of process and system implementation and proactively manage existing and future Water and Sewer challenges.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
**Key activities of this role include**:
- Ensure provision and control of Water and Sewer services to the Central Coast community;
- Lead the transition of the Water and Sewer business to preventative maintenance;
- Lead the team managing the SCADA network including automation and telemetry networks, along with leading Operations Engineers responsible for managing systems outages, incidents, investigations.

This role provides an attractive remuneration package of up to $169.3k dependent on skills and experience + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + 10.5% superannuation.
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles Or a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is also an available option.
