Ideally located on the northern fringe of Sydney and just an hour's drive from Newcastle, the Central Coast offers one of the best places in Australia to live and work.

As the Section Manager Network Maintenance you will be leading a diverse team of professional, trade and non-trade operational teams that are responsible for managing the water and wastewater network for the Central Coast area. You have a strong customer focus approach and work with others to develop and manage operational responses to network issues and look for ways to continuously improve service provision to our community.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

**Key activities of this role include**:

- Lead the team that is responsible for field operations required to operate, monitor, maintain and protect Council's water supply and wastewater systems
- Manage operations to ensure the delivery of a safe, environmentally and financially sustainable water and sewage system
- Identify system improvements that will can be implemented to ensure a delivery of water services with mínimal disruption to our community.

**_About you:_**
- You will be degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or related field OR you have demonstrated solid contemporary experience in managing water and wastewater network maintenance, combined with ongoing professional development
- You have extensive experience in the water industry specifically related to network maintenance
- You have experience in reporting and responding on water quality and environmental issues
- You are an experienced leader with an interest to grow and develop your team with a strong focus on safety, quality and customer outcomes.

**Flexible/hybrid working working arrangements available**

A vehicle may be provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy. Alternatively, a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is also an available option.
