This role will see you for responsible for providing day to day leadership to a team of Local Infrastructure and Planning professionals responsible for the delivery of urban planning strategies and actions for the Council.

Displaying strong people management skills with an eye for urban development projects, infrastructure planning and policy development, you will be a great leader and success in this role.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Meet the strategic planning requirements of the Central Coast within the planning legislation framework, having regard to urban growth outcomes and changing economic, environmental, social and demographic conditions
  • Communicate effectively and create opportunities for others to be heard and contribute to discussion and debate
  • Deliver results by understanding organisational priorities.

This role provides an attractive remuneration package of up to $157.1k per annum dependent on skills and experience + private use leaseback vehicle + 11% superannuation.


A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy.

In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $200 per week ($10,450 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.

A flexible/hybrid working arrangement is available.
