**About the role**:
**Core Accountabilities**:

- Develop, implement and deliver people data reporting services, including data preparation, analysis, governance, modelling and visualisations that will meet the current and emerging needs of Development Victoria.
- Renumeration Strategy & Advice
- Develop comprehensive remuneration, rewards, and position management strategies and frameworks for Development Victoria, ensuring a consistent approach and alignment across the organisation and reflecting external best practice.
- Ensure strategy is developed taking into account the vision and values of DV, the Government’s expectations, the employment relations environment and the PC&T strategy,
- Manage the annual remuneration review process. Including preparing the analysis and reports for salary reviews.
- Coordinate and administer Public Entity Senior Executive Services (PESES) benchmarking and annual adjustments.
- Responsible for cyclical remuneration activities and administration of Victoria Independent Remuneration Tribunal (VIRT), Premiers Adjustments and Out of Cycle Remuneration Reviews (OOC)
- Provide specialist advice to the Chief Executive and Leadership Team on long-term remuneration trends and projections to inform policy, business, and budget decisions
- Provide appropriate best practice advice and high quality consultancy services to the PC&T team and, in particular, the P&C Business Partner teams on remuneration and strategic position management matters
- Job Evaluation/Grading
- Implement and manage an approved job grading system (Mercer)
- Process calibration to market grade data per function
- Create company pay scales
- Complete the pay analysis and comparative reports
- Align remuneration of employees to the approved pay scales
- Ensure that all positions remain market-related and competitive.
- Salary benchmarking & Market information sourcing
- Collate and contributed to market data
- Lead the development, coordination and implementation of remuneration-related projects and programmes
- Provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Or or Business discipline preferred.
- Mercer certified essential.
- Extensive experience in remuneration and reward related experience including expert knowledge of trends and current best practice is essential.
- Salary benchmarking experience
- Practical understanding of employment and remuneration within the Public Sector
- Proven ability to make the connection between PC&T strategy and operational reality
- Outstanding communications and negotiation skills, and the ability to model the concept of “good faith” in employment relationships at all levels in Development Victoria
- A comprehensive understanding of the collection, interpretation and uses of PC&T information with demonstrated capability to develop value-adding reporting
- Incredible organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, and work to tight and competing deadlines
- Strong ability to develop/articulate logical arguments - based on fact, information is sourced from a variety of sources, argument is backed by sound evidence
- Knowledge of relevant legislation impacting remuneration.
