**About the Role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to be part of the team that delivers the Fire Access Fire Trail (FAFT) program for South Coast Branch. This program requires working within the available funding to deliver on ground works to ensure the management of the strategic fire trails network to comply with the Rural Fire Service FAFT legislation.

The role is part of a geographically dispersed team and you will be responsible for managing an allocated FAFT budget to support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

This will include the preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, undertaking procurement and contract management, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project works within a sensitive natural environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high performing team to support National Parks and Wildlife Service’s capital and assets programs.

**About You**

As a Project Officer you are adept at managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with inter-connected teams. Ideally, you have exposure to high-volume work within a large complex organisation or similar and have a passion for achieving outcomes in a changing and diverse work environment. Experience in contract management and delivery of on-ground construction or civil works would be advantageous.

**Essential Requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
