We are currently seeking to appoint an** IT Planning and Governance Manager** to join our IT Strategy, Architecture and Delivery team, based out of John Holland’s state-of-the-art Flinders Gate office.

This is a key position which is responsible for planning, governance of the technology change portfolio and serves as custodian for the IT target state vision and IT capabilities. A clear accountability is defining the portfolio management processes, knowledge management, frameworks, and outcomes to align with the IT strategy.

**About the Role**:

- Responsible for the management and planning of the technology change portfolio, to ensure alignment with business strategy, and architecture including:

- Leading and developing the Portfolio Management plans.
- Developing the initiative briefs/concept papers to realise the portfolio objectives to deliver the IT Strategy, including scope, outcomes, indicative resources, and financials.
- Chairing the Steering Committee and portfolio planning governance forums.
- Providing support to the Delivery Manager and Project Manager’s in reporting progress and status to the Steering Committee
- Integrating/consolidating technology change risks and issues, resources in realising the IT Strategy
- Identifying trends within the business and market to support IT portfolio and program planning and resource management.
- Implementing an end-to-end process to track change initiatives.
- Working across the IT leadership team and any other key stakeholders to coordinate the IT team's overall involvement in the delivery of strategic change.
- Managing resource deployment at the portfolio / program level by working with relevant IT Leadership
- Leading the ongoing development and maturity of the Portfolio, Program and Project office by:

- Developing simple control and governance mechanisms in line with the regulatory and legal landscape, internal policies and the IT and business strategies
- Developing the portfolio management methodology and stage gates for both foundational and transformational change.
- Ensuring communication of IT governance mechanisms across the IT team
- Ensuring the establishment of processes, tools and systems to track and report on IT portfolio and program performance and metrics against which this is measured.
- Leading the continuous development and capability uplift of key disciplines within the PMO delivery teams.
- Championing effective business analysis, that can be leveraged to deliver business value more efficiently.
- Providing integrated portfolio management status, risks, issues, and actions.
- Measuring IT achievements and related value management for JHG
- Providing effective portfolio dashboards and reporting
- Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures.

**About You**:
This position will require you to hold a Degree in Information Systems or a related field, as well as having significant experience providing Portfolio/Program Management capabilities, ideally in an Agile environment.

You will be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in delivering complex technology portfolios/programs in hybrid environments.
- Knowledge in undertaking Enterprise Architecture using industry capability models.
- Extensive knowledge of IT planning and operations, design and deployment, as well as system life cycle management.
- Information Management and Change Management experience.

You will enjoy working collaboratively and be able to foster effective strategic relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally. Your strong organisational skills allow you to juggle several different tasks and deliver them all on time.
