The Victorian Planning Authority is a State Government statutory authority governed by the Victorian Planning Authority Act 2017. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Services Manager to join the Infrastructure, Strategy & Planning group.

Day-to-day, Planning Services works to provide effective statutory solutions including implementing strategic plans into local planning schemes having regard to the broader statutory and legislative environment. You will have experience in the amendment process including preparation of planning scheme ordinance and amendment documents, participation in Planning Panels & Advisory Committees and obtaining amendment approvals in partnership with key agency partners, Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). The VPA has an ambitious delivery program in the Government's Housing Statement, including the delivery of projects in greenfield locations and providing assistance to government in delivering housing across Victoria.

The role is required to provide high quality, reliable and timely statutory planning controls and processes across Victoria delivering best practice engagement with partner agencies, authorities, industry and the community. The role will play a core role in VPAs input and guidance to driving innovation and streamlined pathways. The role will form part of a leadership group providing input and contribution to VPAs corporate goals. The role will require people management in leading, mentoring and coordinating a small group of planners.The position reports to the Director, Planning Services.
