As Strategic Account Manager (Air Freight) APAC for a market leading air freight wholesaler, you will be responsible for growing the client base and sourcing new strategic accounts in this channel.

Based in SYD/MEL/BNE, and reporting to the Global Product Manager Express, you will build and maintain solid relationships with existing and potential customers across the region, demonstrating a strong understanding of the needs of the customer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Instrumental in sourcing strategic new accounts and responsible for growing the client base across the regions
  • Identify the needs of each potential client and create bespoke solutions
  • Target current key accounts and develop and grow level of support
  • Be pivotal in rolling out new services to market
  • Produce rolling sales pipeline, to be reported monthly
  • Measure and report sales and marketing successes monthly
  • Analysis of the market data and providing strategies for improve performance and growth
  • Maintain and develop exceptional customer service

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Selfmotivated, disciplined and a proven success in sales
  • Good knowledge of Express industry within the region
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proactive and forward thinking, with the ability to keep in step with market changes
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within the Express industry
  • Possess confidence in presenting information to individuals and groups regarding customers, as well as employees
  • Strives to understand the customer and their needs and, is able to provide solutions for customers
  • Builds trust easily, especially with customers
  • High level of customer service and maturity when dealing with customers
  • Previous experience of working for an Integrator is highly advantageous
