**About the opportunity**

Reporting to Safety Systems & Governance Manager, you are responsible for contributing to the management of all aspects of the internal and external safety governance processes and external regulatory interactions. You will be focused on contributing to the continuous improvement of Australia Post WHS management systems (WHSMS), including integrated software systems and documented management systems to ensure the WHSMS aligns with best practices and contemporary safety thinking.

You will have significant coaching and development interaction with operational teams across to assist with consultation and engagement to ensure operationally focused elements of the WHSMS are fit for purpose and consistent.
- This role will be part of an on-call roster for serious incidents (some weekend work on a rotating roster with regards to being on-call)._

**What you’ll deliver with us**
- Coordinating information requests for Comcare which will require liaison with internal stakeholders from across the business, including legal services
- Driving the relationship with Comcare directly and be the key contact
- Managing internal processes for responding to serious safety incidents including executive notifications, Comcare notifications, and information responses
- Contributing to the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the WHSMS
- Assisting in any WHS audit programs that may be implemented, reviewed, and maintained
- Development of WHSW management systems

**About you**
- Experience working with safety regulators as well as WHSMS review and audit
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders or influence and manage consultation where there are conflicting needs and expectations
- Understanding of the latest developments in safety and industry best practices on WHSMS and software systems
- Suitable Work Health and Safety tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
