**About Us**:
The Justice Officer is a position in Community Correctional Services with the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA).

**About the Role**:
The Justice Officer role is to deliver friendly, efficient customer service to clients of the Department of Justice and Regulation, as well as providing consistent, timely and accurate administrative support to regional locations and staff.

This is an opportunity to work within the Melbourne Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services (CAPS) Team in the CBD. The role of Justice Officer within this location is non-client facing, however, can experience a higher volume of interactions with a range of stakeholders to ensure service delivery targets are met.

The position is based at the Melbourne Court Assessment and Prosecutions Service (CAPS) office within the Melbourne CBD. However, it is an expectation of the role that the successful applicant is willing to support other locations across either the North Metro (Broadmeadows, Coolaroo, Reservoir, South Morang, Tullamarine, and Heidelberg). A driver's license is therefore preferred but not essential.

Some of your duties will include:

- Providing reception and telephone responses for the location.

**About You**:

- Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and processes relevant and specific to the role.
- Proficient in use of software or technical equipment.
- Undertake standard processing work such as data entry, purchasing, payments and reports using office databases.
- Collects data, undertakes basic analysis and prepares simple reports.
- Excellent administration skills,
- A keen interest to learn new skills (especially databases and stakeholder platforms),
- A desire to work within a team,
- A passion to take on a coordination role for the team of assessors,
- An ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
