The School

The Secondary College is a co-educational state secondary school in the City of Melton, catering to students from Years 7 to 12. With a total of 1200 students, our focus is on nurturing every individual's learning journey, ensuring high academic growth in both Junior and Senior programs. The dedicated team consists of 145 staff members, including the principal, assistant principals, teachers, and education support staff.

The dedicated teaching staff work in professional learning teams, constantly evaluating, planning, and delivering curriculum to ensure ongoing improvement in student learning. Continuous professional development is embedded in classroom practice, supported by coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.

The Secondary College boasts contemporary learning environments, including the newly opened Administration and College entrance in 2019 and A state-of-the-art synthetic pitch oval was established in 2020.

The school actively engages with the professional and business community, benefiting from successful partnerships with Teach for Australia, Berry Street Childhood Institute, Newsboys Foundation, and the Australian Business and Community Network. These collaborations enrich the learning experiences and opportunities for our students.

We're looking for
- A teaching qualification recognised in Australia
- Registered, or who have the ability to be registered with VIT
- Experience in, and a demonstrated passion for teaching with most current practices
- Secondary Art experience highly valued but graduates welcome to apply
- A proven ability to develop productive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Excellent organisational, administrative and presentation skills
