About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to;
- Manage the recruitment and appointment processes for Resident Medical Officers (Interns, House Officers and Senior Registrars) to Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical (CKW) Directorate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Queensland Health and Metro North policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and evaluate recruitment and retention strategies as appropriate for a high-performance Medical Workforce.
About you
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this position in accordance with the Metro North Health values.
- Ensure high quality, contemporary and client-focused service delivery that meets workforce demands.
- Provide high level advice and assistance to Junior Doctors and Clinical Directors/Service Line Directors and/or other stakeholders on key issues impacting on, and ways to continuously improve, service delivery related to medical workforce recruitment, appointment and employment frameworks.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including AHPRA and Department of Home Affairs to problem solve RMO medical registration and/or immigration issues, delays, or concerns, ensuring both service delivery needs, and legislative requirements are met. AHPRA - ensuring all AHRPA registrations remain current, ongoing follow up and reporting as per AHRPA requirements. Immigration - ensure all doctors remain compliant with immigration requirements and approvals. Ongoing follow up and reporting as per Department of Home Affairs guidelines.
