Medical Workforce Officer

About the Role
- Provide and maintain highly effective administrative processes relevant to the recruitment, appointment and ongoing employment of Resident Medical Officers including, but not limited to, recruitment and appointment documentation, mandatory pre-employment checks, reporting, Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency medical registration, Medicare Australia requirements, Australia work rights and commencing pay levels.
- Initiate, develop and prepare term allocations and remote on call roster for Resident Medical Officers appointed to QEII Hospital in consultation with key stakeholders. Respond to medical allocation requests by appropriately gathering and sourcing information for analysis, completing analysis and providing advice as requested to meet the Resident Medical Officer's and hospital service requirements.
- Maintain sound level knowledge and understanding of the Medical Board, current legislative and HR requirements to ensure Medical Officers are correctly registered for clinical activity within the service and to ensure appointments and entitlements comply with legislation and Queensland Health policy.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
