**Who We Are Looking For**
We are on the lookout for an exceptional General Manager to lead Geyer Services in New South Wales. This individual will be a visionary leader, possessing a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for design and construction. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our commercial interior projects and maintaining our reputation for excellence in design consultancy and construction. As the General Manager, you will not only lead our NSW team but also be a key player in shaping the direction of Placewell Group. You'll be the driving force behind innovative design solutions, ensuring we stay at the forefront of the industry. Your role is not just about managing a team; it's about leading a movement towards a more innovative, sustainable, and client-focused future in commercial interiors.
**Responsibilities**
In your role as General Manager, you will be working closely with our CEO and the rest of the management team. You will be instrumental in leading and driving the design process, from conception to completion, ensuring that every project not only meets but exceeds our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- **Client Collaboration**: Forge strong relationships with potential and existing clients. You will be responsible for understanding their vision, needs, and requirements, setting the stage for successful project outcomes.
- **Design Leadership**: Work in close partnership with the Client Design Leader and the design team. Your role involves co-creating the design philosophy for each project, ensuring that it aligns with both the client's vision and our company's values.
- **Project Development**: Take the lead in developing and refining design concepts. You will collaborate with senior designers to establish the project's design philosophy and conceptual direction.
- **Team Coordination**: Act as the nexus between various teams and stakeholders. You will coordinate efforts, ensuring that all parties are aligned and working cohesively towards the agreed design objectives.
- **Strategic Planning**: Play a crucial role in planning the project's trajectory. This involves setting clear goals, milestones, and tasks to advance the design process effectively and efficiently.
- **Quality Assurance**: Uphold the highest standards of design and execution. You will ensure that every aspect of the project aligns with our stringent quality criteria, from the initial concept to the final implementation.
**Essential Criteria**
- **Qualifications**: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction. Business qualifications are desirable.
- **Experience**: 7+ years in the commercial workplace design sector.
- **Skills**: Financial literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Suite and design software (AutoCAD, REVIT, Photoshop, InDesign), strong project management, and excellent communication skills.
