**Claims Adviser**

**We will count on you to**:
**Account Management**
- In conjunction with the Claims Manager, drives the contract negotiation process for existing and new clients, agreeing service standards and documenting via the client service agreement;
- Manages the client relationship, identifies expectation, resolves servicing issues, is an escalation point for difficulties;
- Prepares routine and ad hoc reports; Presents quarterly and/or annual reviews.
- Participate in peer review/ audit process.
- Participate in projects related to continuous improvement and efficiency of the Claims Team

**New and Expanded Business**
- Supports new and expanded business endeavours through provision of claims review data for tenders, renewals and proposals, and participates in client/prospect meeting;
- Active involvement in new business prospecting for under-deductible accounts including proposal submission;
- Conducts marketing and client/broker education presentations;
- Builds and maintains network to keep abreast of industry changes, competitor movements and new and expanded business opportunities;
- Maintains awareness of offerings of other divisions, supports the business’s cross-selling endeavours and makes referrals as appropriate.

**Claims Advisory**
- Drives the settlement negotiation process and negotiates on behalf of client;
- Acts as advocate for the client and determines commercial/technical responses to insurer’s denials of liability;
- Manages external providers (inc legal panel) on behalf of client.

**Client and Broker Service**
- Meets service levels set out in Client Service Agreement;
- Responds to queries from clients and brokers;
- Prepares routine and ad hoc reports including claims trends analysis;
- Prepares quarterly and/or annual claims reviews;

**Claims Technical**
- Manages moderate to high complexity claims according to the Company’s processes and client agreements, liaising with the Major Claims Unit as required;
- Liaises with clients, insurers, claimants and external providers;
- Interprets policy wordings and provides recommendations to clients;
- Analyses claims history data
- Arranges/conducts investigations and interfaces with loss adjusters, client and site investigators as required;
- Determines claim settlement for under-deductible claims.

**What you need to have**:
**_ Professional Accreditation/Membership_**
- Tier 1;
- Senior Associate member of ANZIIF.

**_ Educational Requirements_**
- VCE or equivalent;
- Diploma Financial Services or Bachelor’s degree;
- Undertake Company-directed compliance training
