What does the job look like?

Linfox is partnered with Australia’s leading Resources and Industrial companies, providing specialised warehousing and logistics services across the country. We are seeking a Commercial Manager to provide commercial support and business insights that ensure we continue to provide quality service and operational efficiency to drive growth and profitability in this dynamic industry sector.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a close-nit team of commercial specialists to maintain commercial and financial discipline to support the long-term objectives of the business. A dynamic role that will allow you to utilise your expertise in commercial analysis, financial and quantitative reporting, system support and business improvement solutions that make a real impact to the balance sheet. Key areas:

- Provide commercial leadership of all contracts within the Industrial business
- Effective management and development of cross functional commercial team to promote a customer centric culture
- Relevant modelling, commercial and operational analysis and reporting
- Proactively review pricing, tender and investment opportunities to maximise revenue growth and profitability
- Identification of variance to budget to support recovery and incremental revenue growth
- Develop process improvements to effect better operational and financial management across the network
- Relationship management across departments to facilitate consistency and execution of commercial deliverables

Are you the one?
- Experience managing complex commercial operations, ideally in a transport environment
- Expertise in commercial modelling and business analytics of pricing, contracts and procurement combined with proven success in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes and develop diverse high-performance teams
- Track record in safety leadership and risk mngement systems ideally with familiarity with SAP
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
