We are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to provide strategic and operational employee relations advice to business units that support the achievement of Rio Tinto's business objectives through an engaged workforce.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Services Operations Delivery and working in a supportive team, you will be:
- Design, develop and execute projects individually or as a team member addressing ER issues or employee engagement opportunities
- Developing strong collaborative relationships with leaders within the HR function and the broader business
- Building capability through coaching, development and training of the human resources team
- Championing Rio Tinto’s people strategy around Everyday Respect
- Visiting our operations across Australia as required
**What you’ll bring**
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources and /or Law
- Demonstrated experience in an employee relations specialist role
- Advocacy experience
- Sound judgement with the ability to think critically and provide holistic and practical solutions to complex matters
- Confidence and be a true collaborator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to manage a dynamic workload through effective prioritisation
- A current legal practising certificate will be highly regarded
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
