The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) is the central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of the passenger and light commercial fleet operations for the Government of South Australia. It also provides extensive financial and commercial advisory services to the South Australian public sector.
SAFA plays an integral role in the overall management of the State Government's finances and risks, harnessing economies of scale and expertise in financial and insurance markets to provide a range of treasury, insurance, commercial advisory and vehicle fleet management services.
**About the opportunity**:
The Fleet Services Lead is accountable for the efficient management of the short-term hire component of the State Government’s passenger fleet. The incumbent provides supervision to the Fleet Services Officers to ensure that customer focus is maintained and that customer needs are maximised by maintaining a viable leasing service including an appropriate mix of vehicles for metropolitan, country and outback travel. The incumbent manages the Judicial and MP vehicle schemes.
The key outcomes of the role are;
- Managing conflicting priorities and timelines for service delivery.
- Maintaining positive business relationships with senior public sector clients.
- Delivering regular and proactive dialogue exchanges that manage client expectations for service delivery from third party suppliers.
The Fleet Services Lead reports to the Manager, Fleet, and has extensive working relationships with senior management within the division. The position is the liaison with Executives and senior management and staff at all levels from external agencies and reports to members of Parliament and their Electorate Offices on vehicle related matters including vehicle selection, ordering, and traffic infringement notices. They are responsible for staff of the booking office and carpool.
