**The Role**
Joint Systems Division (JSD) is seeking several highly motivated and skilled Sustainment Management professionals. To succeed in this role, you will have a record of being involved in the delivery of complex material projects, experience in the delivery of ICT projects, or experience managing complex electronic system assets. You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, with a proven history of building, maintaining and growing productive and empowered teams.
**About our Team**
Joint Systems Division (JSD) buys, integrates and maintains electronic warfare systems. Their areas of specialty include space, communications, command and control, and electronic warfare systems that are critical for the defence of Australia. JSD equips Australian air, land and naval forces for superiority across a range of operational scenarios
The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities including the agility to realign resourcing to meet new demands. You will be a leader who provides support and guidance to your team to ensure they are sensitive to strategic direction and equipped to excel in their capabilities. This is a leadership role in which you will exercise a high degree of independence. We are looking for a collaborator who will be able to understand the needs of our stakeholders and produce outcomes and results according to their requirements.
As the Sustainment Manager, you will be working as part of an innovative team that supports the SPO to ensure CASG is able to deliver capability, systems and services to the ADF.
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Actively manage key stakeholder relationships and drive the product and business-planning process of the product management team;
- Identify supply chain risks, optimise supply chains and enhance Australian Industry Capability;
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements and obligations; and
