As a valued member of our Accounts Receivable team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial wealth and success of Haymes Paint. You will onboard new customers, respond to their queries and diligently manage and optimise the collection of outstanding receivables fostering strong relationships with our clients while upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Set up and maintain customer accounts - including credit limits, customer details, associated trade accounts.
- Liaise with Stores, Business Development Managers & other stakeholders to ensure records are accurate, complete & up to date.
- Day-to-day processing including receipting, payment allocations and account reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve account enquiries and discrepancies in our CRM in a timely manner.
- Collaborate and negotiate (within scope) with customers regarding collection of overdue invoices, disputed invoices, and payment.
- Ensure processing deadlines and collection targets are met.
- Prepare files for transfer to the Debt Recovery Agency as required.
- Prepare and generate standard and ad hoc reporting as required.

- Essential:_
- Thoroughness and accuracy to ensure data integrity.
- Computer and system savvy allowing you to operate accounting systems, spreadsheet and word processing programs and prepare regular reporting.
- Approachable and friendly paired with the ability to build relationships with your colleagues and our customers.
- A reputation for providing exceptional customer service through professionalism, patience, and effective verbal and written communication.
- Capability to analyse customer account data, identify patterns and generate a set of interventions.
- Confidence to discuss an issue with one or more stakeholders to determine the best way to reach a solution that achieves mutual satisfaction.
- Well-developed organisational skills enabling you to maintain structure and juggle priorities.
- A growth mindset sees you continuously learn and further your skills as well as develop best practice with peers performing the same role.
- Desirable:_
- Relevant qualification in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent competency.
- Finance experience (in a medium to large finance team).
- Previous Exposure to financial legislation
