**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
CHS Library & Multimedia sits within Medical Services, it provides modern, digital, client focused services and up-to-date, evidence-based, reliable, relevant, and respected, client driven resources and multimedia artifacts, supporting people-centred care, and the research, teaching and training priorities of CHS. Our goal is to continually evolve our services through ongoing co-creation with our clients to ensure favourable online and face-to-face experiences.

The position contributes to the success of CHS by providing access to, curating, researching evidence-based medicine and training clients in the use and interpretation of such information. Library & Multimedia staff are one person removed from the patient.

**DUTIES**:
Under limited direction of the Director, CHS Library & Multimedia you will perform in-depth reference and research services, plan and deliver training, provide client services and promote and innovate library services using, as appropriate, technology. You will:

- Undertake in-depth evidence-based medical and health reference and research services, including conducting searches for general and grey literature and systematic, rapid, mixed methods or qualitative reviews, using tools to conduct evidence synthesis.
- Plan and deliver, developing training support documentation as required, client and team face-to-face and online training programs, in the effective use of eResources, information and research literacy, library services and online access issue resolution.
- In collaboration with other library staff, perform rostered service desk duties and client service activities including online resource troubleshooting, acquisitions, cataloguing, document supply, collection maintenance, library administration and procedure development.
- Promote library services to clients using virtual and traditional marketing tools and collect and organise evidence-based information for specific client groups for dissemination via digital channels.
- Proactively recommend innovative ways to improve client services, service delivery and use of library systems to meet library client needs. Actively take part and collaborate on team projects and advise on the Library’s collection.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications**:
Relevant accredited degree in Library and Information Science recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association or equivalent qualifications and a minimum of two years’ experience working professionally in a library or related information unit is highly desirable.

CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.
