Our client is a global icon as an innovative hand tool manufacturer, leading Europe and beyond for many years. Currently experiencing national growth we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and results driven individual to fill the position of Area Sales Manager. Reporting directly to the National Manager you will manage an existing sales territory driving customer loyalty for increased market share and sales volumes.

The successful applicant will be part of a high performing, close knit team backed by a strong and successful business model and overall strategy. This is a Perth based role with regional travel for one week per month.

Responsibilities include:

- Servicing existing accounts, by generating orders to support and exceed targets and establishing new accounts via planning and calling on existing or potential distribution and other trade outlets.
- Developing and enacting plans to support retail distribution by driving "end user" activities to assist will product sell through and brand awareness.
- Developing effective call plans to ensure the territory is visited in a timely, and cost effective manner.
- Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Preparing and presenting product presentations at all customer levels, including product training.
- Preparing weekly sales reports and utilising CRM to record customer interaction and historical information.
- Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and other applicable areas.
- Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and liaising with applicable business areas.
- Understanding and delivering effective retail merchandising.

Required skills:

- Previous field based sales experience and account management.
- Tooling or similar industry sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both within the internal team environment and externally with customers.
- High level presentation skills and communication style
- Drivers Licence.
