Parkville, Australia UniLodge Australia Pty Ltd Full time

6 month Maternity Leave Secondment
- Make a real impact on resident experience and create an environment where students love to live.

**Why UniLodge**

UniLodge specialise in student accommodation and have been an industry market leader since 1996. The UniLodge Group manages a diverse portfolio of close to 130 properties and hotels with a footprint in every city in mainland Australia and New Zealand. We employ a team of over 1200 people who are dedicated to our vision, “To build inclusive communities for inspired living”.

Across our workforce we have built an enviable culture of **_trust_**_, _**_engagement_**_, _**_collaboration_**, and **_fun_**. Our residents come from diverse backgrounds, and we want our teams to reflect this. Our people are the heart of our business, and their contributions are valued and celebrated. We invest in the wellbeing and professional development of our team, offering access to ongoing training and career growth opportunities, performance recognition programs, and tools and resources to support mental health and wellbeing. And because everyone leads unique lives, we offer various leave options including study leave, parental leave entitlements, etc.

**What the role is all about**

We are on the lookout for an ambitious Community Manager to join our UniLodge team at The University of Melbourne on a 6 month secondment basis (March to October 2024 approx.). This is a unique opportunity to bring your flair for creative ideas and strategies, to a role in which you will oversee our Residential Life and Wellbeing Program.

As part of a broader Senior Management team, your role is instrumental in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing, with emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters. You will have the opportunity to develop and organise a holistic calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience. You will not work alone in your role, as you will be supported by a great team of individuals who are dedicated to delivering a great program and experience for our residents.

We are seeking someone who can commit to a full time roster, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant must be willing to be available for after hours on call duty as required.

**What we need from you**

You will be enthusiastic and creative in your event planning - always considering the student experience. You will oversee the program and calendar of events, end-to-end, so your experience in event management, including budgets, planning and implementation is necessary. To support you in the design and delivery of programs it is essential that you demonstrate the ability to understand the complexities of university life, and operational aspects of residential living. Living in an unfamiliar environment can be a daunting and challenging experience for anyone. You will be someone our residents can confide in to support them with pastoral care matters; and a warm and friendly individual who has the ability to provide support in challenging situations. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health.

Your dedication towards ensuring that everyone on your team is positioned to succeed is evidenced in your management style - you are supportive; willing to nurture and develop your team, and most importantly you demonstrate a level of commitment towards supporting and creating a fun and inclusive community for staff and residents.

**Our mandatory requirements include**:

- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia and New Zealand
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain.

**How to Apply**
- We are a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer - We commit to responding to every applicant._
