**Salary**: $80,000 - $90,000+ pa + super (pro rata if part time) depending on experience

**Location**: Any Australian location (east coast working hours preferred) working from home (supported by ACCR), or Sydney or Canberra office.

**Role**:
We are looking for someone with great financial and analytical skills, with a desire to make use of company fundamental and modelling analysis in addressing ESG issues, particularly around climate transition planning, on targeted Australian and global listed stocks. This is a new position to join our growing team of high-performing, planet-passionate analysts.

- You are driven to making a difference on ESG matters, particularly climate change and driving company transitions towards Paris aligned pathways

**Responsibilities**:
The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Producing high quality, detailed company analysis on select globally significant companies, to form views on those companies’ outlook and corporate value particularly as that relates to climate transition, which informs ACCR’s company and investor engagement strategies
- Undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis on company financials and sustainability reporting
- Horizon scanning and interpreting current and emerging macro issues impacting those companies and sectors
- Assisting in presentations to investors, media and other stakeholders

**Criteria**:
We’re looking for someone with these types of skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, accounting, engineering, environmental sciences or similar
- Strong analytical acumen - able to digest complex information, combined with a curiosity to get under the data to the deeper questions and insights
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills, including prioritisation, attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines, and to move quickly if opportunities present themselves

- a strong work ethic, and would thrive working in and learning from a collaborative, deeply experienced and committed team of equities analysts, researchers and climate scientists
- an alignment to ACCR’s mission and values, including valuing diversity; and
- a desire to make a difference in the global fight to reduce greenhouse gas emissions worldwide.

As a bonus (but not required) you also have:

- Experience in company and investment research, or other relevant experience in a financial services (e.g. accounting, auditing) or investment institution
- Knowledge of accounting standards; and/or
- Science or engineering background
- Other relevant ESG analysis or engagement experience.

**Accountable to**: Companies Research Lead
