**Strategic Project Partners (SPP)** is an established but rapidly growing general management consultancy that has worked hard to establish a reputation within the Higher Education and Research sectors as a high quality commercial firm with great people, interesting clients and challenging project work.

If you have experience leading project teams who are tasked to solve difficult strategic, operational and commercial challenges we would like to hear from you. **We are particularly interested in leaders with Higher Education and Research consulting expertise.** Maybe you've worked within an internal strategy role within a University, or Government Education Department. Perhaps you've been contracting, or out of the workforce for some time. You might even be a small cog in a large wheel and would like greater purpose in your work, and a firm that believes in investing in the development of its people. Maybe you're just interested in leading teams of great people who seek to have impact with their work.

**About the role**

In this role you will be an integral part of leading our consulting teams and working closely with our clients to solve their business problems. You will take on project management responsibilities and have a key role in developing the "answer" to client challenges. Some typical examples of the types of responsibilities and tasks commonly undertaken by our people include:

- Identifying solutions that positively impact the client's bottom line (social, environmental, political, people & dollars)
- Recommending actions that are appropriate for the client organisation's capability and capacity
- Preparing very high quality written materials for presentation to the client
- Maintaining project direction and scope to ensure project objectives are met
- Facilitating client engagement forums to drive effective information capture and decision making
- Building project momentum within the client organisation, and gaining stakeholder buy-in
- Building internal capabilities and supporting business development activities to enable future growth
- Working closely with SPP partners to develop effective project proposals

**Qualifications & Experience**
- A Bachelor and/or higher degree qualification in a relevant area (e.g. Business, Commerce, Engineering)
- Prior consulting or strategy experience within the Education and Research sectors
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA, relevant Masters degree) is advantageous (for Consultant level and above).
- Previous Consulting leadership experience within an MBB firm, or quality strategy consulting expertise within a Big4
- Around 8+ years experience will align best for these roles.
- **Exposure across Education &/ or Research is key to this role.**

- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a project team
- Effective management of tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, delivering high quality outputs with strong attention to detail, with a track record of effective project management and delivery.
