**About the Role**

The School Administration Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to both staff and students within the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering (EMI) and its three departments. This role will be a crucial part of the EMI professional staff team, collaborating closely with Department Administrators and the Executive Assistant to the Head of School, while also being integrated into the broader network of professional staff within the Faculty of Engineering and IT.

The role will require a high level of initiative, motivation, tact, and professionalism to efficiently handle the diverse and demanding tasks it involves.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Plan and administer onboarding and support for graduate research students within the Departments including desk allocation, laptop purchases, access requests, induction meetings, and general query management
- Support Departments with tasks in a range of key process areas including visitor, honorary and employee appointments, recruitment processes, and financial transactions
- Provide secretarial support to key Department meetings including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

- Relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely service delivery
- Strong computer competency including word and excel skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible and changing environment

- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone._
