**Role Overview**

You'll be joining a tight-knit team whose product is transitioning to a new brand name: Altus. The team is spread mainly between Melbourne and Adelaide, and we expect you to dive in, feet first, and own the execution elements for our Product Development team. The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate the delivery of improvements to our product through efficient and effective Agile processes and team management, removing impediments for the team and ensuring they have a strong, validated backlog. As an experienced Agile Delivery Manager you will bring with you both passion and experience in Software Development and Team Management, a love for Agile Continuous Flow methodology, excellent problem-solving skills, organisational and time management skills, and exceptional communication skills. You will have one eye on your own personal effectiveness and productivity, while also seeking out appropriate professional development opportunities for your team.

**What your day may include**:

- Reporting into the Head of Product, ensure work is prioritised according to strategic objectives and managed through to production to meet product team goals.
- Running efficient and effective Agile ceremonies, planning and managing the sprints, monitoring velocity, and tracking success metrics.
- Removing internal and external barriers from the software development team’s path.
- Running an efficient and effective DevOps Team capable of consistent throughput and delivery of features.
- Facilitating change and continuous improvement to processes.
- Encouraging and facilitating the professional development of team members.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- 3 or more years of experience in Delivery Management of software utilising Agile techniques.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting teams to adopt new practices.
- Applied knowledge and understanding of software development processes and procedures.
- You don’t dogmatically follow a theoretical process; instead, you are adaptable and flexible, and have a people focused approach.
- You are comfortable working closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts in constructing, reviewing and monitoring actionable User Stories, Kanban boards and other Agile artifacts.
- You are familiar with Agile reporting and can use burndown charts and other planning tools to measure and report on cadence and performance.
- You will be able to build and maintain effective and constructive relationships with your team and internal stakeholders.
- A solid understanding and appreciation of technical engineering best practices (test driven development, continuous integration, scalability, security, DevOps, etc.).
- You understand how to estimate using Agile techniques
- You’ll value design based on iteration, and real customer feedback.
- You’ll be able to maximize flow for developers, optimising the team for high performance.
- You’ll have a proven track record of taking ownership of problems and being accountable.
- You have strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing demands.
