The Assisted School Travel Program (ASTP) plays a significant role in meeting the needs of eligible students with disability by providing free specialised transport to and from school where parents and carers are unable to provide or arrange transport to the student either fully or in part.
The program provides around 3,000 individual transport services through contracted service providers, free of charge to approximately 12,500 students across NSW in both government and non-government schools.

**About you**
- You have a passion for turning projects into success stories.
- Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing and prioritising multiple tasks with composure and efficiency.
- A drive to push boundaries and surpass expectations.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation
- Creative and innovative analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policies.
- Represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way and encourage others to do so.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
