THE COMPANY

Our client is one of the leading financial service firms in WA, established 40 years ago, it has grown to 80 staff and five divisions. The divisions range from Accounting, Tax and Business Consulting to Financial Advisory, Mortgage Lending to Personal Insurance and Superannuation (SMSF). This enables them to offer a wide range of services and a holistic and personalised approach to their clients’ financial needs.

Their offices are located in the heart of stunning West Perth, with a short stroll to Kings Park and some great cafés and restaurants close by. The Partners have been there for more than 20 years and the majority of them started off as Grads and worked their way up to the top. The business has grown to 60 employees and their continued success has meant that their client base continues to grow through referrals and recommendations. Their client base is local and well established and ranging from, medical, mining services, pharmacy, heath, tradies and many more.

Their team in West Perth are well established, friendly, fun and approachable and their staff turnover is low, with several members of staff being around for more than 10 years, some even 30+ years. They believe that pulling together as a team is key to success and they have regular team building exercises that allow them to have fun and work together as a team. They are a social bunch and enjoy regular Friday drinks, plenty of fun social events and there are also plenty of staff with young families so there is no pressure to go or stay long.

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Broad range of administrative services
- Scheduling jobs/work within MYOB AE
- Managing the workflow of a team of accountants to ensure they have a steady stream of work that is complete as scheduled
- Preparation and distribution of letters of engagement and proposals to clients
- Liaising with clients to gather information and documents necessary to enable the accountants to carry out their work
- Attending to and liaising with clients and accountants on queries relating to their work
- Maintaining client information in MYOB AE
- Setting up work papers
- Scheduling and booking internal and external meetings
- Managing team work in progress
- Raising of invoices to clients
- Attending to ATO mail
- Processing of ASIC Annual Returns
- Facilitating ATO payment arrangements
- Managing ELD's and lodgement of tax returns / management of the team's tax lodgement program
- Lodging of client tax returns
- Preparation of Group Structure Charts
- Assist in the processing of corporate secretarial work including new company registrations, deed amendments, ASIC changes, etc.
- Collating client year end documents
- General office administration such as scanning, filing, archiving, etc.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL NEED:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Client Services Administrator role within a Tax Accounting Practice
- Demonstrate knowledge in all aspects of the role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in dealing with the ATO
- Proficient MYOB AE, Excel and Word
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage large volumes of work
- Possess a positive attitude and pleasant demeanour
- Process driven
- Hard-working and committed to the role and the organisation
- Desire to provide quality client service and support
- Meticulous and high attention to detail
- High level of integrity and regard for confidentiality
- Professional presentation
