**_We have an exciting opportunity for a School Crossing Supervisor to join our team and play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of young students. _**

**_As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will assist school children and other pedestrians to cross at established children’s crossings and traffic lights.

**_About the role: _**
- **_Supervising children and pedestrians at children’s crossings and traffic lights during nominated hours on school days _**:

- **_Be correctly attired and equipped at all times whilst performing the duties of a School Crossing Supervisor _**:

- **_Maintaining a high level of awareness, professional behaviour and conduct _**:

- **_Strict adherence to relevant policies and procedures including the VicRoads Instructions for Children’s Crossing Supervisors and Banyule Employee Code of Conduct _**:

- **_Travel flexibility to work at any allocated crossings with the municipality _**:

- **_This is the right role for you if you enjoy working outdoors, meeting new people, and working short hours _**

**_Skills and experiences: _**
- **_Experience working at a Children Crossing _**:

- **_Have a high level of awareness and an ability to judge traffic flow _**:

- **_Be able to work with children specifically and the wider public in general _**:

- **_Understand the relevant traffic laws _**:

- **_The ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/carry crossing’s equipment _**:

- **_The ability to work in any weather condition. _**:

- **_The ability to work without supervision _**
