**About the role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a professional, motivated and dynamic Intellectual Property and Commercialisation Manager to work full time 0830 -1700 Monday to Friday in the Research Office at St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney. St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research (AMR) is the peak research enterprise for employs approximately 90 research staff engaged in aspects of cell biology, molecular biology, immunology and virology as well as a large number of clinical research programs across the Darlinghurst campus. The AMR Program is a department of St Vincent's Hospital and is affiliated with the University of New South Wales and is located in the Lowy-Packer Building on the St Vincent’s Research Precinct.

**About you**:
The Intellectual Property and Commercialisation Manager will provide leadership and high quality advice and services to facilitate intellectual property management and technology commercialisation across St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney. However, while this position is based in Sydney there is a desire to harmonise commercialisation an IP management across the SVHA research active entities for example St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. The Intellectual Property and Commercialisation Manager will be responsible for the St Vincent’s Hospital patent portfolio, as well as contract negotiation and post-deal management and will develop and implement St Vincent’s Hospital policies, procedures, practices and processes associated with commercialisation.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
3. Knowledge and understanding of intellectual property issues within a research environment
5. Excellent aptitude for business development with proven client centred mentality and superior relationship management skills
6. Experience in contract negotiation and management
7. Excellent written, verbal communication, administrative, organizational and computer skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the Research Office
