Our Social Support Program operates under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), dedicated to fostering social interaction and connectivity among older adults and individuals with dementia in the Monash area. We strive to enhance the wellbeing of our community while aligning with Council's strategic goals.

About the Position

The Team Leader Social Support will lead the planning and execution of our Social Support Group services, overseeing program delivery, fostering collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement. This role entails managing recruitment, training, and performance, as well as collaborating on initiatives to support older individuals' wellbeing.

Skills and Experience

Strong leadership and management skills in driving social support programs

Tertiary qualifications in ageing, leisure, health, or relevant community services experience

Proven ability to lead teams through change and manage occupational health and safety and quality systems effectively

In-depth understanding of issues related to older people and social inclusion principles

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and program implementation for social inclusion initiatives.

**Requirements**:
Tertiary qualifications in ageing, leisure, health, or relevant field

Minimum three years of experience in a similar role involving program planning, development, and evaluation

Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)

Satisfactory National Police Check
