**The Organisation**
This premier regional health service operates a 700-bed acute hospital that treats over 49,000 inpatients, deals with 52,000 emergency cases, delivers 1,400 babies, and performs over 110,000 medical imaging procedures annually. These services are complemented by an integrated Cancer Centre, an 80-bed Psychiatry Unit and 11 operating theatres where almost 15,000 surgical procedures are performed each year. The health service combines outstanding services with a strong education and training culture with a University Rural Clinical School located onsite.
The ICU is a 16-bed combined facility that cares for more than 1000 intensive care, high dependency and coronary care patients each year. It is a Level 3 facility that is well-designed, and spacious and offers all aspects of modern Intensive Care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, renal replacement therapy, plasmapheresis, intra-aortic balloon pump and echocardiography.

**The Job**
- As Clinical Unit Head of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide medical leadership for the ICU
- You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and other Clinical Unit Heads to implement strategic vision and meet clinical service delivery requirements
- Key duties include ensuring that the ICU team is equipped to deliver the strategic goals of the organisation by managing, coaching, and supporting direct reports
- You will participate in the annual Performance Reviews of all members of the Intensive Care medical team
- Provide leadership for the development and implementation of research programs in the ICU
- Conduct regular minuted Morbidity and Mortality Reviews
- This is a full-time position of 76 hours per fortnight
