**The Position**:
Staff Specialist
Position Title: Palliative Care Medicine Physician
Salary per hour (exc. super): $129.41 - $177.94 (dependent on Medical Specialist Year Level)
Hours per fortnight: 76 (Full Time)
Employment Status: Permanent
Other requirements: Ahpra Specialist Registration, COVID-19 Vaccinations plus Booster
**Role Description**
The role of the consultant physician will be to provide specialist palliative medical support and clinical leadership to the Bendigo Community Specialist Palliative Care Service and its patients. The Integrated service also includes the Loddon Mallee Specialist Palliative Care Consultancy Team and the Inpatient Specialist Palliative Care Unit.
**The Bendigo Community Palliative Care Service (**BCSPCS)**
The BCSPCS provides specialist palliative medical support and clinical leadership to the Bendigo Health Specialist Palliative Care Service and its BCSPCS patients. The service includes, Palliative Care at Home - an intensive model within the community service, Day program and early access program.
The service is multi-disciplinary including Nursing, Allied Health and admin, covering the Greater Bendigo and Loddon Shires, working closely with generalist and specialist palliative care providers.
