Bendigo Health Cardiology Department are recruiting to the following ongoing Consultant vacancies:

- Deputy Clinical Unit Head - 3.5 hrs per fortnight ongoing
- Consultant Cardiologist (Diagnostic) negotiable up to 21 hrs per fortnight

**Deputy Clinical Unit Head**:
The purpose of the Deputy Clinical Unit Head is to support the Clinical Unit Head of Cardiology to manage and lead the Cardiology department and this vacancy will include the portfolio of Diagnostics and Clinics.

The Deputy Clinical Unit Head is expected to lead departmental activities relevant to their portfolio including
- Clinical governance (including safety and quality)
- Clinical re-design of workflows and practices
- Support Cardiology Clinical Unit Head with roster management of senior medical staff (including approval of leave).
- Support the provision of training for unaccredited and accredited cardiology registrars, and HMO/interns assigned to cardiology.

**Consultant Cardiologist (Diagnostic)**:
The commencement date for the duties will be from the 19th September and total position hours are 21 hours per fortnight or negotiable according to unit needs.

The position provides stress echocardiography, reporting and consultations in the Cardiology clinics.
The Consultant Cardiologist will be required to liaise with requesting doctors and other health professionals as necessary to provide results that require immediate intervention and management.

This position will be expected to participate in the on call roster as required and actively provide supervision to junior medical staff (JMOs) in clinics, teaching and education.
