**The Role**
We are looking for a motivated and high-performing individual to join the Strategic Resourcing Directorate within the Defence Digital Group (DDG). This is an opportunity for a finance and portfolio management professional to work within a multi-disciplined team of professionals, supporting a large number of stakeholders during a period of major system and organisational changes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing executive level briefs.
- Managing operating budget bids.
- Reviewing monthly financial reports and providing recommendations.
- Optimising financial management processes, promoting consistency across multiple groups, and contributing to capability development.
- Contributing to Budget Estimate (BE) and Additional Estimate (AE) processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and ICT specialists across the organisation to drive system and process changes, enabling DDG to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Supervising and mentoring APS Level 5 or 6 level team members.
- Addressing stakeholder queries through an analysis of the context, acquisition and sustainment financial information, and risks.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and business reporting.

**About our Team**
Within the Portfolio Management Branch, the Strategic Resourcing Directorate has three main functions.
- Manage the DDG budget, including in year management, out year Operating Budget Bids and Enhancement Budget Bids. This also involves leading the Budget Estimate and Additional Estimate processes.
- Conduct workforce planning to ensure there is sufficient capacity to meet demand, and report on human capital capacity within the portfolio. This involves providing visibility on the capacity to take on additional programs and projects.
- Establish and implement processes, supported by portfolio management tools, to capture and report on budget and human capital capacity within the portfolio.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems (budget, acquisition, sustainment) and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional communication skills in order to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an organisation which is undergoing structural changes.
- Significant experience in financial reporting, auditing and compliance.
