**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services (RACS) is a vibrant and diverse Division within Canberra Health Services providing multidisciplinary Rehabilitation, Aged and Community based care across a range of settings. This includes Canberra Hospital, Community Health Centres, Village Creek Centre in Kambah, Independent Living Centre and the University of Canberra Hospital. The Equipment Loan Service team is responsible for effective and efficient delivery, collection, cleaning and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment to support clients in the community and to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service and client care.

RACS work collaboratively with patients, their carers and other services within and external to CHS.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide **Digital Health Record**. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.
- Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
- A high level of fitness & ability to perform all duties
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Obtain a Compliance Certificate from OMU (Occupational Medicine Unit) relating to assessment, screening, and vaccination processes against specified infectious diseases.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the _Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011_ is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au)
