**About the role**
In this role, you will work as an organisation design expert, supporting the ongoing implementation of the City’s Target Operating Modules. You will take a systems thinking approach to organisation design, supporting the scoping, design, and implementation of several phased projects that consider people, process, and systems. With sound stakeholder management, and well researched design principles, you will ensure a collaborative and effective approach when designing and facilitating organisation design activities that will help the City to achieve its 2024 goals of customer excellence and future proof the organisation for sustainability.

This is a 12 month Full Time (fixed term) position.

Key responsibilities include:

- Design, coordinate, and facilitate activities to design and deliver organisation design solutions for planned projects and outcomes agreed in the City’s Transformation Office pipeline of work.
- Contribute to the production of the documents and artefacts associated with each stage of the organisation design process for each project.
- Manage multiple organisation design activities simultaneously ensuring that activities enable project teams to meet the gates within the standard project management approach and deliver the expected outcomes.
- Support the delivery of the organisation design process by actively participating in, and leading were required, the key engagement activities at the scoping, design, and implementation stages of each project.
- Leverage stakeholder relationships, relevant data sources and contemporary thinking to identify current and emerging thinking about organisation design, and design appropriate solutions that drive the organisation towards the future state operating model.
- Contribute to the ongoing phased planning, detailed design and delivery of the City’s Target Operating Models and the Transformation pipeline projects

**About you**

Essential Experience:

- Strong interest in organisation design, and strong understanding of contemporary organisational development practices, based on emerging issues and trends.
- Experience in designing and implementing organisation design solutions for large complex organisations as an internal role and/or through external consultancy.
- Experience in scoping, planning, managing, delivering and evaluating large scale and complex projects.
- Experience and ability to design and facilitate program of works of high strategic and conceptual quality.
- Well-developed presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into easily interpretable and visually appealing reports & presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, research, analyse and evaluate complex issues, and provide strategic advice to influence organisation wide outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Business or a similar field or an equivalent combination of formal qualifications and experience.
