**Corporate Objectives**

**Position Overview**
Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and delivery of Council’s Community Services
accordance with Council’s strategic objectives. Accountable for collaborating with key stakeholders to
support, inform and drive business improvement within the Community Services department and to build and
maintain performance maturity across the departments processes, services and systems to ensure better
outcomes for the community.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Project Management and Delivery**
- Undertake a range of strategic projects, initiatives and associated activities within the Community
Services department in accordance with Council policy, process, legislative requirements and approved
financial plans to deliver positive and sustainable community outcomes.
- Develop, implement, monitor and report on Community Services strategies, projects, programs and
initiatives in line with Council’s strategic goals and objectives in order to increase social cohesion and
strengthen community capacity.
- Build capability of Community Services department around business performance improvement by
providing support in relation to functional services, systems and process reviews that inform and guide
recommendations for improvement.
- Support the Manager of Community Services in enhancing service capabilities through the development
of performance measures aligned with the Council's Management Plans, while also providing advice on
strategic and operational improvements for continuous and improved departmental service delivery
- Monitor project and initiative progress to ensure adherence to project schedules and update programs
and forecasts as required in line with physical and financial targets whilst ensuring all involved
stakeholders are informed of the project’s status.
- Facilitate project communications, ensuring effective information dissemination among team members
and relevant parties in an efficient and timely manner.
- Design, develop and maintain efficient project team workflow processes, systems and procedures to
ensure the effective delivery of projects.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and continuous improvement tools and practices and
drive modern approaches at an operational level.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, format essential project documentation and reports to ensure
information is accurately conveyed and projects are delivered in allocated timeframes.
