**Be challenged and imagine with us**:
As the Research Coordinator (Recruitment and Engagement), you will leverage your connections with the Asian region to effectively coordinate recruitment activities, cultural consultations, and engagement processes for the ongoing 'refresh' of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health. Specifically, your focus will be on reaching out to women with ancestry or backgrounds from South, Southeast, and Northeast Asia.

In this crucial position, you will serve as the primary ambassador, embodying the study's mission and values. Your responsibilities will include cultivating strong relationships through cultural consultations with the respective communities. To achieve this, you will actively participate in community events and meetings, ensuring a meaningful 'on the ground' presence.

In this role you will:

- Coordinate recruitment activities and cultural consultation processes for the study, ensuring effective engagement with women from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Serve as a liaison between the study team and cultural/organisational representatives, facilitating communication and building relationships.
- Consult and collaborate with various cultural groups to gain insights and understanding of their needs and perspectives regarding the study.
- This fixed term (until 31 Dec ’23) position is full time and will be located at the Hunter Medical Research Institute (Awabakal and Worimi land)._

- Established networks or connections with women of South, Southeast or Northeast Asian descent.
- Experience coordinating community events, and fostering strong stakeholder engagement.
- Strong communication skills, including engagement, negotiation, and influence, while fostering valuable relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- High attention to detail and organisation skills, including the ability to work to competing deadlines.

**What we offer**:
The remuneration for this position is from $91,259 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Completion of a Bachelor degree in Psychology, Public Health, Communications or similar, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Established networks or connections with the research target population (women from South, Southeast or Northeast Asian descent).
- Ability to speak another language - South, Southeast or Northeast Asian languages would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and work effectively within team environments as well as independently.
- Experience in coordinating community engagement, research participant recruitment, or similar.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the capacity to confidently build and maintain professional relationships.
- Willingness and ability to travel including having a driver’s license.
