**What you'll be doing**:
An exciting Temporary Full Time role is currently available to join the NBMLHD team as a Ward Support Manager.

The Ward Support Manager provides leadership and direction to administration officers (AO’s) across ward areas at Nepean Hospital.

This role will see you working collaboratively with Nurse Unit Managers to support administrative staff in delivering quality customer service whilst achieving service priorities and effectively manages all facets of recruitment for Nepean’s administration casual pool. Maintaining sufficient numbers to meet increasing demands of services requiring administrative support/coverage across Nepean Hospital.

Your role will effective manage human resources including; workload delegation, roster and leave practice, ensuring leave is managed; monitoring and supporting staff; performance review and develop, implement and maintain administration policies & procedures in consultation with the ward administrative team for agile transformation.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Tertiary qualifications in administration management or similar
- Demonstrated experience in staff management with the ability to lead team performance to achieve service goals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with broad range of stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills along with a demonstrated ability to pro-actively manage risks, use initiative, and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to implement change, empowering staff to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Understanding of contemporary issues in management including financial, revenue, human resource and organisational management.
- Previous experience in managing staff recruitment and capacity to understand and interpret NSW Health Industry Awards and Agreements.
