**Role**:

To foster the development of resilience to encourage purposeful participation at school and beyond. To coordinate the instrumental music program including ensembles and a variety of performances.

An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.

**Responsibilities**:
Priomary Responsibilities of the Instrumental Music Coordinator will be as follows:

- Review and continue to develop Instrumental Music Program through the design and implementation of options that respond to student musical interests
- Promote Instrumental Music Program online, newsletters
- Organize enrolments into instrumental music program
- Create Timetable for instrumental music teachers and students
- Ensure student timetables are accessible to students, teachers and parents through COMPASS
- Work with Business Manager to complete wage sheets for instrumental teachers
- Enrolling students in appropriate examinations e.g. AMEB.
- Coordinate and organise additional bands and ensembles within the school
- Organizing ensembles for community performances

Experience and ability to teach student Guitar lessons would also be desirable.
