**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**

The Reform Implementation Division (RID) supports the Department and Government to

lead reform of Australia’s aged care system through the Government’s response to the

Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety (Royal Commission). The Division

achieves this through:

- The development of evidence-based policy to support more sustainable ageing

policy and an aged care system better tailored to the needs and expectations of

older Australians.
- Oversight of the implementation of the reform agenda in line with Government

commitments.
- Lead ICT strategy and business assurance activities to achieve aged care digital

business outcomes; and
- Communication, stakeholder engagement and change management to support

transformational change in the sector.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The ICT Strategy and Business Assurance Branch (ISBA) works in partnership with the

Departments IT Division's to deliver improved outcomes for senior Australians. ISBA Branch

is responsible for:

- Developing an overarching Digital strategy for Aged Care to leverage investment in

technology.
- Working with ICT Division on the development of new proposals and delivery of

existing programs to ensure fidelity against the strategy.
- Ensuring alignment of business outcomes that require IT services to the Aged Care

Master Plan.
- Working with business areas within Aged Care to assist in defining user

requirements.
- Supporting change management within business and a broader understanding of

digital technology.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Aged Care ICT Change Office is a section within the Ageing and Aged Care Group

responsible for coordinating with business areas across this group and Health Information

Technology Divisions to support the delivery of any changes to the aged care systems. The

Aged Care ICT Change Office provides support and guidance from the beginning of a

proposed change request throughout the lifecycle of the change to the delivery in a system

release.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively as part of the Aged Care ICT

Change Office to lead, plan, and deliver business system support and design activities

including:

- Collaborate with business areas and Digital Transformation & Delivery Division

(DTDD) to coordinate release management activities for new/enhanced aged care

system functionality Impact assess changes to support development of training

materials and guides for end users (including Contact Centre).
- Support business areas and ITD to help prioritise and schedule Change & Project

Change Requests for new/enhanced functionality.
- Building and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal

and external.
- Management of risks and issues, including developing mitigation.
- Assist the section Director to provide leadership and oversight of the section's

program of work.
- Encourage innovation, lead staff through changes in business and process

improvement including coaching and mentoring.

**Key Capabilities**
- Manage business release readiness and/or design activities for Aged Care System

releases.
- Lead the ICT Change Office engagement with DTDD to discuss and prioritise Change

Requests and Project Change Requests.
- In conjunction with IT colleagues, prioritise and sequence small enhancements from

the change backlog for inclusion in a release.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and key activities required for change delivery.
- Maintain Change Register and Master Release Schedules.
- Co-ordination of business impact assessments of change.
- Maintain Service Management Frameworks.
