This role would suit someone interested in understanding the suite of funding and quality assurance activities which encompass but are not limited to; considering business processes and verifying transactional compliance in line with the Skills First VET Funding Contract and/or Regulatory Standards; student interviews; and data analysis.
A keen eye for detail, experience in brief and letter writing to both internal and external stakeholders, and abilities in data analysis will be well regarded.
This role sits within the Audit Unit, reporting to the Manager, Audit Unit of the Training Market Services branch. The Audit Unit is responsible for managing all assurance activities to assess training provider compliance with their Skills First VET Funding Contract. The Audit Unit prepares briefs, recommendations and correspondence based on the findings of audit and assurance activities.
In carrying out their role, a Project Officer is a flexible, self-directed officer that can organise and completing set tasks on time and to the standard required. The Project Officer has solid written and verbal communication skills and can build and sustain productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Project Officer can undertake complex or technical investigations of data or information that information their preparation of reports, briefing, correspondence and other materials relating to the assessment of performance, compliance and leading to operational improvements.
