Event Sales Consultant

**POSITION OVERVIEW**
The Event Sales Consultant is responsible for the sales and management of wedding and events. The role involves liaising with external clients when they enquire hire items for their events, and offering expertise, style advice and suggestions based on product knowledge and event expertise. The Event Sales Consultant has a strong knowledge of the Simply Seated inventory as well as system processes, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills. The role requires strong communication skills with both external clients and colleagues, in the timely and accurate management of all logistics, operational and scheduling activities. The duties outlined in this position description may vary from time to time depending on the evolving needs of the business.
**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Management of (or Assist in the management of) wedding and event sales
- Completing all invoicing and providing accurate quotes as required
- Working in WinHire, updating and maintaining the system
- Following sales procedures as documented by Simply Seated
- Creating vision boards for the development of the style concept
- Setting and attending showroom meetings
- Following up quotes, sales and payments in a timely manner
- Remaining up to date with all inventory and services whilst maintaining an understanding of the Simply Seated business
- Taking payments and recording them in WinHire
- Communicating delivery details to operations staff/drivers
- Maintaining an organised showroom and ensuring all clean items are stored in an orderly manner
- Preparing items such as linen, cutlery and cushions, if support is required
- Generating wedding and corporate leads and establishing new business
- Assessing customer needs and providing assistance in suitable products
- Working closely with co-workers to ensure proper customer care
- Maintaining accurate records and monitoring sales reports
- Gathering operational and delivery details from client prior to the schedule delivery
- Liaising between warehouse staff and internal staff
- Attending wedding exhibitions and assisting with organizing wedding exhibitions as required
**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Port Melbourne, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
