**About us**

Evolution Mining were founded in late 2011 and have operations across Australia and in Ontario, Canada.

Our Cowal Gold Operation is a cornerstone asset located near West Wyalong in central NSW with a leadership team that continually focus on embedding a values driven culture aligned with our company vision to create a premier, global gold company.

A major milestone was achieved at Cowal in 2021 with Board and regulatory approvals received for the development of the Cowal Underground Mine. The development of the Cowal Underground Mine is part of the site goal to produce 350,000 ounces of low-cost gold a year and extend its mine life out beyond 17 year, providing significant economic benefits within the region. The planned capital investment is A$380 million. A concurrent Feasibility Study is also underway, looking to continue open pit mining for a further 10 years, creating a strong Life of Mine inclusive of both open pit and underground mining.

**About the role**

We are seeking to hire a Processing Manager based at our Cowal Gold Operation, responsible for ensuring the effective, safe, and sustainable leadership of our processing plant and tailings storage and associated team. You will be responsible for safely driving performance and implementing best practice initiatives and programs to support the site business plan and long-term strategy.

Reporting to our Operations Manager and leading your team across production, metallurgy, and tailings storage, this is a key role in ensuring our annual gold production targets are achieved safely and within operating budget.

The role has a breadth of responsibility across all processing activities, both operational and technical, with particular focus on short and long-term planning; compliance with environmental procedures and standards; budget development and management (OPEX and CAPEX); leadership of any optimisation and upgrade/expansion projects.

Safety is paramount in all we do, and you will lead a ‘Safety First’ approach, ensuring regular inspections and health and safety global best practise and culture is implemented, driving initiatives that safely improve and optimise production.

**About you**

Within the role, you will be exposed to almost all parts of our Cowal Gold Operation and be a key member of the site leadership team. It is expected you will have 10 years relevant industry experience supported with a Tertiary qualification in metallurgy or minerals processing and experience of managing teams, budgets, and cost effectively. To succeed in the role, you will have:

- A leadership approach that demonstrates behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values (Safety, Excellence, Accountability, Respect), models inclusive leadership with a continuous improvement mindset, challenges existing practices, drives positive cultural and performance change focused on identifying cost saving / productivity / safety improvements through direct engagement with our people.
- The ability to safely drive performance in an operational environment.
- A working knowledge of environmental and site safety best practice including Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
- Proven experience of delivering operational efficiency, driving accurate and reliable processing interpretations/decisions and implementing best practice in both technical and operational areas.
- High level communication skills, able to effectively communicate complex process ideas to non-metallurgical experts at all levels with a natural ability to build relationships across functions and operations.
