**What you'll be doing**

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
The Clinical Manager will lead a multidisciplinary clinical mental health team of between 5-10 FTE within the Child, Adolescent Community Mental Health Service. CAMHS is a specialist mental health service providing comprehensive assessment, advocacy, counselling and other services for children, adolescent, young people and their families who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties. We have a family focus and offer a multidisciplinary approach aimed to prevent, identify, treat, and reduce the impact of these difficulties on children, adolescents, young people and their families. We provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties. We provide short to medium term therapy, generally with a family focus. Intervention may be individual, family or group therapy with a focus on the recovery. The Clinical Manager will also oversee the provision of high quality evidence based clinical services, including assessment, care co-ordination, intervention, liaison and review that meets the needs of children, adolescents and young people referred to the service with a mental illness.
- Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing._
- All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW._
- Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations._

- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW or Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA. Registered Nurse/Midwife with current unrestricted registration with AHPRA and meet the requirement for Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 grading under the NSW Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' State Award. Psychology registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). For Clinical Psychologists, full Registration with the PsyBA, with full Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology, along with a minimum two-year full-time accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of child, adolescent community mental health care services with a focus on recovery-oriented and strengths approach that incorporate consumer collaboration in care planning, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated willingness to undertake professional development to further advance management and leadership competencies.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in an child, adolescent community mental health environment and experience in leading change initiatives for improved service provision.
