We are currently representing a prominent renewable energy developer in their search for a highly motivated Greenfield Development Manager. This developer is dedicated to driving the transition to clean energy and is actively involved in wind energy projects across Australia.

Role Overview: As the Greenfield Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful initiation and development of wind energy projects in Melbourne and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for identifying suitable greenfield sites, conducting feasibility studies, securing necessary permits and consents, and managing project milestones. Your expertise in wind energy development, strong project management skills, and strategic thinking will contribute to the company's growth and its positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and evaluate greenfield sites for potential wind energy projects in the Melbourne region, considering factors such as wind resource, land suitability, grid connection, and environmental impact.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, including resource assessment, environmental impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement, to assess the viability of potential projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as landowners, government authorities, and community groups, to secure necessary permits, consents, and land rights.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered within specified timeframes and budgets.
- Lead the negotiation and contracting process with suppliers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring the best value for the company and adherence to project specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, policy changes, and technological advancements in the wind energy sector, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships with relevant government agencies, industry associations, and local communities to facilitate project approvals and maintain a positive company image.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as renewable energy, engineering, environmental science, or business. A master's degree is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in greenfield development of wind energy projects, preferably in Australia.
- In-depth knowledge of wind energy project development, including site identification, feasibility assessment, permitting, and stakeholder management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental standards within the renewable energy sector.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
